Unforgettable By Cindy Skaggs
Cindy Skaggs is on a blog tour from December 12-23rd and I’m one of her stops! She’s introducing her latest release – UNFORGETTABLE, and she’s doing a giveaway! But before I tell you about the giveaway, here’s a little peek at UNFORGETTABLE.
Blurb:
Vicki Calvetti made it out of the mob—or so she hoped. But when the old family hitman, the FBI, the Justice Department, and a smoking hot man from her past crash land on her doorstep, she learns she’s not quite done.
An undercover cop chasing revenge, Blake Reilly gets the shock of his life when Vicki walks back into his life and into his club full of more drug dealers than a pharmaceutical convention.
Catching up doesn’t take long, and their undeniable chemistry is full-speed-ahead until someone ends up dead, putting both their lives at risk unless Vicki can remember the secrets she paid to forget.
Excerpt:
He looked… Damn fine. Black leather jacket covered muscles she could only imagine and his trousers showed off an ass so fine it could grace an underwear ad. What was the question? “I’m sorry?”
“You try to run, darlin’, I’ll hunt.” His eyes glittered. “And I like the chase.”
Her pulse jumped for all the wrong reasons. The thrill of the hunt was something she understood. Enjoyed on multiple occasions, but the challenge in his tone begged for a response. “I’m not going anywhere. With you.”
“Pack.”
She walked to him with a swing to her hips and a sassy smile on her lips. When she got to him, she pressed a finger to his oh-so-firm chest. Her fingers itched to explore all his taut flesh. The man obviously worked out. “Make me.”
“Challenge accepted.” The bangles on her wrist jangled as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her close. “You wanna play?”
“Said the spider to the fly.”
He bent low, slow, torturing them both as their breath mingled. When he dropped—finally, finally—it was a slow glide as he brushed his lips across hers, relearning the feel of her, letting her rediscover him. Firm lips tempted as they slanted across hers, moved across her cheeks, leaving a trail of fire to her jawline. Her breath hitched when the hands at her hips pulled her close. The warmth of his hard body was the dream she tried to forget, but couldn’t. She wanted hard and commanding, something to dull her mind, but he moved slow, tangling lips and tongues.
This Blake was controlled where the boy had raced to the main event.
The years and the hurt and the world disappeared under his gentle assault. She drank him in, his breath, his tongue, the press of his lips. She gave herself to it, in anger for the lost years, the lost— Everything.
Lifting to her toes, she took her frustration out on him, forced the hard need into her kiss.
“Jesus,” he muttered. He nibbled along her jaw and down the side of her neck.
The pleasure hurt, the need like a fist in her chest. She struggled, pulled against his grip, but he held firm with one hand while the other swept her backside and lifted her close. The restriction of her hand trapped between them sent a burst of panic through her. She shoved against his chest.
“Nice try, darlin’,” he whispered as he bit her earlobe, “But you wanted to play.”

About the author:
Cindy grew up on stories of mob bosses, horse thieves, cold-blooded killers, and the last honest man. Most of those stories were even true. She has ten siblings, some of whom are older than her mother, has nieces and nephews older than her, and once went to a horse auction with John Wayne. Well, with him in the sense that he was there, and she was also… there. She was the munchkin in line for his autograph with tangled hair and bruised knees that liked to dance on her daddy’s dusty cowboy boots and listen to his tall tales.
With her love of storytelling and heroes, it’s no wonder she turned to books and stories after her father died. She skipped most of the eighth grade to bury herself in books while hidden in her closet, because she was still looking for the perfect story and the last honest man. Her search took her around the world with the Air Force as well as around the world with her education. She’s visited more countries than she can remember, nearly every state in the U.S., and has more degrees than the Tin Man.
As a single mom, she’s still gambling, betting on herself for the first time in her life, turning her lifelong love of storytelling into the one thing she can’t live without: writing. She writes 10,000 words a week in cafes and coffee shops, and some of those 10,000 words are even worth reading. She has an MA in Creative Writing, is working towards her Master of Fine Arts, and has three jobs, two kids, a Pushcart Nomination, more pets than she can possibly handle, and more works in progress than the crew filling potholes after a long Colorado winter.

New Release – Love At Last
Hi All,
It’s the official release day for LOVE AT LAST!
This is Carolyn Jenkins & Lincoln Richwood’s story. You might remember Carolyn (Martina Jenkins’ mom) from NEGOTIATING FOR LOVE, book 4 of the Jenkins Family series. Since then, many of you have asked, “What’s Carolyn’s story?” Or “Will Carolyn get a story?” Or “Have you considered writing a story about an older couple?” Well … I listened, and here it is!
Blurb:
Carolyn Jenkins has never had a problem getting a man, but keeping one is another story. After two failed marriages and numerous short-term relationships, she’s ready to wave the white flag and give up on love. Yet, with Christmas quickly approaching, she dreads spending the holiday alone. Will a chance encounter with a handsome stranger make all of her Christmas wishes come true?
After thirty years of a nearly perfect marriage, widower Lincoln Richwood struggles to move on with his life. The idea of dating at his age seems daunting … until he meets the vivacious Carolyn Jenkins. Normally a straitlaced kind of guy, there’s just something about the woman that tempts him to walk on the wild side.
Opposites attract, but will their differences derail their relationship and keep them from embracing the love they both desire?
Excerpt:
Later that evening, Lincoln stood speechless when Carolyn opened the door. His gaze started at her dark hair with light-brown highlights that she had straightened and hung past her shoulders. He continued drinking in her beauty, making note of every curve until he reached her long, shapely legs.
How she managed to get more alluring with each passing day was a mystery to him. He always knew she had an incredible body, but seeing her in the little silver, slinky dress that stopped just above her knees proved what he already suspected. She had a slamming body.
“You’re absolutely stunning,” he finally said, handing her the two dozen red roses. “Actually, stunning doesn’t seem a strong enough word to describe you in that dress.”
Carolyn laughed and the melodic sound had him wanting to make her laugh all the time. “Thank you. I’m glad you like it.”
“I more than like it. I’m afraid I might not be able to keep my eyes or hands off of you.” His words surprised him. He had never been much of a flirt, but Carolyn brought this side of him out and he enjoyed the change.
She buried her face in the bouquet of flowers, breathing in their scent. “These are beautiful and they smell wonderful. Thank you.”
“My pleasure.” He followed her farther into the house, enjoying the rhythm of her jiggle as she sashayed into the kitchen for a vase. The dress she wore was as unique as any outfit he’d ever seen on a woman. One side sported a long sleeve, while the other side exposed her flawless skin with a sleeveless design. The material cradled every curve, making the view from behind as jaw dropping as the front. The fact that there were no visible bra or panty lines made his imagination run wild. His body reacted whenever she was near, but right now he was tempted to skip the party and instead acquaint himself with her svelte, naked body.
He had never been the jealous type, but seeing her looking like this, all of his possessive genes were on high alert. Granted everyone this evening would be paired up, but all heads would turn when she stepped in and Lincoln would ha—
“Can I get you anything? Something to drink?”
Glad that she had interrupted his train of thought, Lincoln slid his arm around her waist. “Actually, there is something I want.”
