New Release – Proposal for Love and Giveaway
Hi All, it’s release day! Woo hoo!
PROPOSAL FOR LOVE, book 2 of the Jenkins & Sons Construction series is now available!
Nathaniel Jenkins-Moore never allows romantic entanglements to get in the way of running Jenkins & Sons Construction. That is until the woman who ripped out his heart crashes back into his life. She wants to leave the past in the past, and though Nate knows a thing or two about rebuilding strong foundations, her betrayal still haunts him. He can’t forget. He won’t forgive. She can’t be trusted. But why does his heart still beat double-time whenever she’s near?
Liberty Stewart has been living a lie. Masking her shredded self-esteem and trying to overcome the emotional torment inflicted by her abusive ex-husband, she’s ready to rebuild her life. But just when she thinks she’s on track, her current assignment brings her face to face with the only man she’s ever truly loved—Nate. Too bad he hates her. Liberty knows she did Nate wrong, and getting him to trust her again might be impossible, but neither of them can deny the attraction that still runs deep.
Is the burning passion they share enough to get their troubled hearts to finally beat as one? Or is the hurt too deep for a happily ever after?
Excerpt:
Nate almost smiled at her fake bravado. She wasn’t fooling anyone. His words hit the mark. He wasn’t trying to make her uncomfortable but… Okay, maybe he was trying to get under her skin. He wanted her to experience a little of the hurt he still felt from the way she’d ended things between them. If that made him a jerk, oh well. Yes, he was sorry for the way he’d treated her the other day, but he meant what he said. He didn’t trust her.
“We can discuss next steps in my office,” Nate said.
They walked up the stairs in silence, but Nate was very much aware of Liberty’s long, sexy strides and the hypnotic sway of her hips. He wanted to maintain some emotional and physical distance from her, but she wasn’t making it easy. How the hell was he supposed to ignore the way the low-cut blouse revealed just enough cleavage to capture his attention. And those damn pants. She had the perfect, curvaceous body for snug fitting pants and these highlighted her firm thighs and round ass. But it was the arousing scent of lavender radiating off her that had him tempted to do something stupid. Like press his nose against her long, graceful neck to get a better whiff.
Dammit. Why’d he have to still be attracted to her? Why couldn’t everything about her disgust him?
Temperature rising along with his frustration, he pushed open his office door, ready to hurry this along. “We can work at the table in the corner.”
Nate growled internally as she strolled across his office, adding more hip action to her walk. Suggesting they work in his personal space was turning into a bad idea, but it was more convenient. He wasn’t totally sure what information he’d need access to, but anything they could possibly need was in reach.
After closing the door, Nate took a seat at the table and studied her while she organized the paperwork. The shadows under her eyes were more pronounced than they were during her last visit. Had she lost sleep the last couple of days the way he had?
“So tell me,” he started, “why the name change? I didn’t really know Isaac Culpepper, but I would assume someone like him would want you to carry his name.”
Lips thinned in annoyance, she met his gaze. “Nate, I think it best we stay away from personal questions and focus on the job at hand. My name has no bearing on us getting this project done.”
“Why so secretive about the name?” Seeing her the other day had totally caught him off guard, but it was the new identity that had him puzzled. Not knowing why she didn’t go by Kayla Jackson any longer was driving him crazy.
“Why do you want to know? You’ve made it clear that this is a working relationship. Nothing else.” She went back to paper shuffling.
“I don’t know if I can stop calling you Kayla,” he admitted.
“That’s too bad because I’ll only be answering to Liberty.”

About the story:
Sneak peek:
Liberty’s heart squeezed in anguish as she realized she had hurt him more than she originally thought. Unfortunately, nothing she could do or say would be enough to express how sorry she was for walking away from what they once had.
Pushing down the emotion threatening to explode within her, she hurried to pack her belongings.
“Nate, we both have a job to do,” she finally said but kept her head down hoping her voice sounded stronger than she felt. “What’s it going to take for you to put the past behind us and focus on the here and now?”
“I need answers,” he responded quietly.
Liberty raised her gaze to his. The hurt in his eyes sliced open an old wound and shattered the last shred of her control. The anger and fight in him had dissipated.
“What do you want me to say?” she asked, unable to catch the slight whimper that slipped through. “Do you want me to admit that walking away from you was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made? Do you want me to tell you that my life has been one huge failure after another? Do you want me to say that my world has been hell without you in it?” Her breaths came hard and ragged as her chest tightened. She didn’t want to break down in front of him, but revisiting that painful time in her life was never easy.
Nate opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Stuffing one hand into his pants pocket, he used the other to rub the back of his neck.
“You want to know why I walked away?”

Two Hearts One Soul Duet by London Saint James

ALWAYS ~ BLURB
International bestselling author London Saint James’ first installment from Two Hearts, One Soul Duet is the epic tale of abiding love, heart-wrenching loss, and an astonishing bond that will find a way to endure.
Winter Perri never truly understood love until she met Austin Carlyle—the man who would rock her world to its foundations and give her something to believe in. But the night before they were to be married, the fairytale shattered.
Thirteen years later Winter is pulled out of her seclusion only to have a painful past confront her, and when it does, she’s left questioning reality, because the impossible is looking back at her with the face of a destroying angel, and piercing eyes in too familiar shades of blue.

Saturday, the 20th of December at eleven in the morning
Saint Thomas Church
Fifth Avenue, New York
The invitations read in elegant, black script.
I’d graduated from college and just turned twenty-two. Austin was twenty-three. And yes, in just a few weeks, we were having a wedding.
Sitting on the third finger of my left hand stood a three-carat ring with three square-cut diamonds encased by emeralds, with more diamonds embedded in the band. It was more money than should have been spent, but Austin said it was a diamond for every year we had been together and the emeralds matched the color of my eyes.
Who could argue with that?
The night Austin proposed to me was not only a surprise but one of the best nights of my life. He’d taken me to the East Village Theater—something not out of the ordinary—we’d been there many times before. In fact, it was the place he took me on our third date.
What was out of the ordinary? The place was vacant.
Walking in the dim light down the long aisle, passing row after row of empty seats, I glanced up at Austin. “There’s no one here.”
He smiled down at me. “I know.”
“What’s going on?”
As though I’d asked the magic question, one beam of streaming light hit a gold-encrusted table up on the darkened stage and glittered.
I focused on the table. It was part of a stage set I’d seen once, sitting in Juliet’s bedroom when Romeo entered in through her window.
“Is this your way of telling me you’re the lead in a new Romeo and Juliet play?”
Austin chuckled but didn’t answer as he led me up on the stage and over to the table.
On top sat a single pink rose with a dazzling ring shimmering in the light that had been tied to the long green stem with a red silk ribbon.
My hand went to my mouth.
I was speechless and more than likely wide-eyed when Austin picked up the rose, untied the ribbon, took the ring into his hand, bent down upon one knee, then handed me the flower.
With shaking hands I took it.
He quoted a scene from Romeo and Juliet, only he’d said my name not Juliet’s as the sun.
Taking my left hand in his, Austin looked up at me from beneath his long, black lashes with eyes the color of sapphires. “Winter. I’m in love with you. I cannot imagine one day without you in my life, so I was hoping you would do me the honor of becoming my wife. Will you marry me?”
Reacting to the moment, my eyes began to overflow with tears. They streamed down my cheeks, dripped off my chin, and hit my hand in his in a sprinkle of abundant joy.
“Yes,” I said.
Austin placed the ring on my finger and kissed it. “I love you.”
He returned to his feet, his face beaming as I sniffled out, “I-I love you, too.”

EXCERPT
A breeze blew into the bedroom from the open balcony doors—crisp and clean. The details of winter lingered with just a hint of spring to come, giving the warm room a punch of coolness as early morning sun slanted across the foot of the bed, highlighting the sheets in disarray.
My gaze shifted over to Cayden, sitting at the writing desk, phone in hand, speaking to someone about his upcoming film shoot. When his current film was done, he would be heading to Vancouver.
Would I be going? I didn’t know.
Leaning my hip against the doorjamb of the bathroom, I watched him, how his body moved—the muscles that flexed in his arm when he picked up a script from the desk. He was quietly confident, his movements fluid. No doubt, Cayden was something to watch even in such mundane things.
So very much like Austin.
Walking quietly out of the bathroom, I went to him, not wishing to disturb him, but desperately wanting to touch the man of my dreams. In many ways, he still seemed unreal to me, as if he were an optical phenomenon that could liquefy into hazy lines of heat and disappear.
With the phone to his ear, Cayden turned and looked at me, his sapphire gaze roaming from the hair piled in a messy bun atop my head, to my bubble-gum-pink-painted toenails before he smiled.
My heart thrummed.
Reaching out, he pulled me onto his lap where I willingly went, and picked up a pen from beside my laptop. Then, he crooked his head, holding the handset to the cordless in place against his shoulder to free his other hand and took a hold of mine.
Curious, I wondered what he was up to.
Cayden turned my hand over, palm side up. Swiped his fingers softly over my palm once. Wrote, I Love U, boldly across it. And then he curled my fingers closed, securing the words tight within the palm of my hand before he moved his hands from mine and took hold of the handset again.
My heart, not to mention my body, felt as if it would explode from the joy those three little words inspired. But the fact he wrote them, tattooed them onto my skin, was simply the sweetest thing he could have done.
“Go ahead and e-mail it. I’ll take a look,” he said to the person on the other end of the phone.
There was a pause. A buzzing followed by another pause.
“Sure. Not a problem,” Cayden replied, motioning for me to get up.
When I did, he adjusted the hard, straight-backed desk chair as well himself, and patted his lap.
Wearing nothing but a towel, I straddled him, chest to chest, and placed my arms around his strong shoulders. “Good?” I mouthed.
He winked his approval.
I played with the ends of his hair, feeling the impressive bulge beneath his designer sweatpants jerk against my bare core.
Blood raced through my veins with a start.
“Yes,” Cayden said into the phone. “I’m planning on it, but we can talk about that later.”
There was another pause, more humming sounds, then one of his hands went to my backside and squeezed. “Okay, thanks,” Cayden said.
He hadn’t been talking to me, but to whoever was on the phone.
“I will. Enjoy your breakfast.” He punched the end button and placed the handset into the receiver on the desk.
“I didn’t mean to disturb your call. I realize it was business,” I said.
“You can ‘disturb’ me anytime, baby.”

EXCERPT
ALWAYS, A Legacy Novel (Cross + Catherine, #1) by Bethany-Kris
Catherine giggled. Her amusement faded fast. Like the second Hugh grabbed her arm in a tight grip, and stopped her from walking further.
“Last name?” he asked again.
She tugged her arm to free it from his grasp, but he didn’t let go. She looked down at his hand pointedly. “That’s a no.”
“Shit, what’s your problem? I’m just asking who the hell—”
“Let me go,” Catherine said.
She was polite.
It was the only warning he was going to get.
“Tell me your name, then.”
“This isn’t a tit for tat,” Catherine replied. “I said no, and that means—”
Catherine didn’t even see the fist coming before it smashed into Hugh’s face. Hugh let go of Catherine’s arm with a holler, and she almost tripped over her gladiator-style sandals in an effort to jump back.
“Means fucking no,” the guy Catherine had been admiring earlier said, as he stood over a now bleeding Hugh. “Coach said to move your ass, so move, Hugh. Stop bothering girls—didn’t you get enough of that shit last year?”
“Donati!” someone yelled from the field.
“Jesus Christ, Cross,” Liliana muttered.
“Prick!”
That was all Hugh got out before he kicked out a leg and dropped Cross to the ground. In full football gear, but for the helmets, the two boys started laying into one another. Each fist smacking into a body or gear made Catherine cringe. She was pretty sure someone was bleeding, too, in between cursing and name calling. The players and coaches on the field started heading their way fast.
“Okay, time to go,” Liliana said, making sure to tug Catherine along.
She kept up with her cousin easily enough.
First day, and already starting fights.
Yeah, she really missed her old school.
“Donati did you a favor there,” Liliana said as they came closer to the school.
“Who?” Catherine asked, peering back over her shoulder.
“Donati. Cross Donati.”
That surname seemed familiar to Catherine, but she couldn’t quite pull out why.
“Hugh is a creep,” Liliana said, oblivious to Catherine’s confusion. “He doesn’t understand the word no, and if you ask the right girls, they’ll all tell you not to leave a drink unattended when he’s around. Seriously, Cross did you a favor.”
She couldn’t help but look back over her shoulder.
Catherine found a pair of dark eyes looking in her direction before they locked onto hers.
Cross.
Cross Donati.
His fist crashed down into Hugh’s bloody face one more time before the coach reached the fighting boys, and pulled them apart. He was still staring after Catherine, though.
Cross smiled at her, then, showing off white teeth stained red by his bloody mouth. He didn’t seem a bit bothered by it, really. She smiled back.
Catherine thought, years from then, when people asked …
She would say that was when she fell in love with Cross.
Black hair.
Dark eyes.
Bruised knuckles.
Bloody mouth.
All the while, he smiled at her.
And she smiled back.
That was when she fell in love with Cross Donati.
Even if she hadn’t known it then.
