A Winter Rendezvous

Hi All,

I’m pleased to have author Té Russ on my blog today! Té is on a blog tour and stopped by to introduce us to her latest release, A WINTER RENDEZVOUS. Check it out!

A Winter Rendezvous Cover Art 2

Chrystal and Jackson meet while vacationing for the holidays and give into their attraction, sharing an incredible night together. Not expecting to see each other again, they are both shocked when they run into each other days later in the mostly unlikely place.

Both are hesitant to continue where they left off from their night in the mountains, but they quickly learn that they can’t seem to run from the inevitable. Their passion is hot enough to melt the snow outside, but can they overcome obstacles thrown in their path and create something that can last a lifetime?

Excerpt:

“Careful Chrystal,” he warned. “Besides, according to you it doesn’t seem like there’s much to discuss anyway. Since it wasn’t that amazing.”

He noticed her tense as he threw her own words back at her. Exhaling an exasperated sigh, she turned and looked him directly in the face.

“I was pissed, Jackson. And you know why.”

He took step forward, but made sure not to get to close. “That I understand. What I don’t understand…”

He stopped. This was not the time nor the place for this discussion, but Chrystal pushed.

What don’t you understand?”

He didn’t want to say it. Because it would reveal a part of him he generally didn’t let others see.

Vulnerability.

But she stood there, looking up at him with those big, beautiful brown eyes, and the words seemed to just fall out.

“What I don’t understand is why you would take off the way you did. Leaving nothing behind except for that sorry excuse for a note.”

Instantly, the remorse was evident on her face. “I freaked out,” she admitted. “I told you then that I’d never done anything like that before.”

He looked down, as she reached out and wrapped her hand around his forearm. “But, if I could go back…change things, I definitely would have stayed.”

Her soft touch, and the sincere tone in her voice, caused him to stifle a groan.

“You want me to break my rule, don’t you?”

Her face broke out into a naughty grin as she said, “It’s about to be a new year, maybe it’s time for a new rule.”

“Thirty seconds until midnight!”

They turned as someone shouted the announcement and people began counting down.

Jackson looked around, then grabbed Chrystal’s hand pulling her behind a large pillar, hiding them from everyone.

He looked down at her and noticed the heated, anticipated look in her eyes. He shook his head, but couldn’t stop himself from touching her. He touched his forehead to hers.

“This is a bad idea,” he said, as his hands caressed her hips.

“It wasn’t such a bad idea at the ski lodge,” she said pressing her body into his.

“Things were different at the ski lodge.”

She lifted her hands to his chest and he gripped her wrists.

10…9…8…7…6…

He stared at her for several more seconds and she watched him, waiting for his next move.

5…4…3…2…

He pushed her against the pillar, pinned her arms above her head, and crushed his mouth to hers, sucking her lip into his mouth.

Happy New Year!

The sounds around them were drowned out as he continued kissing her, plunging his tongue into her mouth. She moaned and kissed him back with the same amount of ferocity, if not more.

He knew he’d crossed a line that he’d vowed to never cross again. But he knew this moment was inevitable.

At the moment, he didn’t think about his past mistakes in a similar scenario. All he could think about was the woman pressing her body wantonly against him.

Consequences be damned.

Té Russ found solace in literary arts at an early age. Reading was a vehicle which broadened her horizons as writing became a form of self-expression. She began writing love stories as an adolescent to expel her youthful thoughts of love into words. Since then she has gone from writing stories and thoughts of love in journals to attending college for journalism and falling in love, which has allowed those youthful words of love to blossom into a series of stories in her romance novels. When she doesn’t have her nose pressed deeply into a book or her fingers flying across the keyboard, this Texas wife and mother of three can be found jumping out of airplanes, cheering her husband on at the top of her lungs at MMA fights, buzzing down the interstate on the back of motorcycles, or kayaking.

Love After War

Happy Valentine’s Weekend All!

It is with great pleasure that I welcome author Té Russ to my blog! Té is introducing us to her new release – LOVE AFTER WAR. Let’s check it out!

Love After War cover

About the book:

Connie and Drew have been butting heads since they were teenagers. With Connie refusing to talk about anything from their past, Drew has never figured out what made them go from friends to enemies.

Drew decides to finally get to the root of their lifelong feud when Connie ends up in Texas for a remodeling project. When the truth comes out, it just might bring out some feelings both of them have been refusing to acknowledge for over a decade.

Excerpt:

Drew told himself over and over to remember he was doing this for his grandfather and not to start a fight with her or be goaded into a fight that she may try to start. But the look in her eyes said war, so he threw on his mental battle armor and prepared himself.

She stopped in front of him.

She tilted her head up and looked him in the eyes.

“Andrew.”

“Constance.”

It was their typical greeting toward each other. While everyone else greeted them by their nicknames, they purposely called each other by their full name because they knew it got on each other’s nerves.

“I promised Pops we’d try to get along. At least for the drive to the hotel.”

He pushed his hat up ever so slightly then looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

“‘Pops’?” he asked.

“He insisted I call him that.”

He didn’t respond. He finally pushed off the pillar and took a good look at her.

Connie tried not to squirm under his scrutiny. He walked around her taking in the full sight of her. The tight pencil skirt with a slit in the back stopped right above her knees and showed off every single curve of her body. Her sky high heels enhanced her sexy legs and the silky blouse underneath her blazer that matched her skirt gave just a peek of cleavage. He came back in front of her and continued to just stare at her. Finally he reached toward her. Connie tensed, not knowing what he was about to do.

He grabbed a strand of her hair.

“Andrew!” she said annoyed, slapping his hand away from her.

“Do you know how much this hairstyle–”

“Where’s the mop?”

Her eyes drew together in thin slits. “Excuse me?” she asked, growing instantly pissed.

He tried to hide his amused grin.

“You got rid of the mop on your head, Barb,” he said, calling her his personal nickname for her, referring to her hair, which he’d always claimed resembled the color of rhubarbs.

“It’s called a new style. And you know I never liked when you called me….”

The rest of her words got caught in her throat as he reached out to touch her hair again. He let the silky strands glide across his fingers before letting the hair fall gracefully down to below her shoulders.

“I like this new look on you Barb, it looks good.”

She felt herself soften a little at the compliment. “Thank you Andrew.”

He shrugged off her thanks. “Of course, I always thought your mop and broom were a match set. Did you leave your broom on the tarmac with the planes after you flew in on it or did you have it put on the baggage claim wheel?”

“Why you–”

The whir of the baggage claim wheel began at that moment and Drew stepped around Connie to go and wait for her luggage.

She stood there absolutely seething. He’d started it, now the gloves were coming off.

Just One Kiss by Té Russ

Hi All! Please join me in welcoming author Té Russ to my blog! Té is introducing us to her new release, JUST ONE KISS. Let’s check it out!

Just One Kiss Cover Art 2

Award-winning investigative reporter Cassandra McAllister is finally taking a break. Especially after her latest exposé. Now all she wants is to enjoy her time soaking up the sun on the beach, steps away from her private Jamaican villa. Her mysterious, yet extremely sexy neighbor is a great distraction, and she plans to make him one of her methods of relaxation.

RJ Campbell’s attraction to Cassandra is strong from the first moment he lays eyes on her. But when their lips touch for the first time, he knows he’s a goner. But RJ is harboring a secret that once it’s revealed, could potentially destroy the feelings growing between him and Cassandra.

Can these two overcome the secrets and issues they have and build a lasting relationship? Or will their time together be nothing more than an island rendezvous?

Excerpt:

RJ realized he’d greatly underestimated how hard it would be to sit while Cassandra tried on dresses. At first when he waited for her to come out in the first dress, he figured it would be boring just sitting there waiting for her to come out in dress after dress.

When she came out in the first dress, he felt his throat dry and his body stiffen. He sat there watching her as she looked at herself in the mirror, turning this way and that before turning to him.

“Well,” she said, twirling around, “what do you think?”

“I think you look amazing.”

“It is a nice dress,” she said as she turned to look in the mirror again.

“Maybe you try on some more to see if there is something you like better.”

She turned and looked at the rack. “There are so many, but I think you’re right. I’ll try on a few more.”

Then he found himself becoming more and more eager to see her in each dress.

Each dress looked better than the last, and they all fit her amazing figure to perfection. Soon he was thinking more about getting her out of each dress. He looked over his shoulder. Gwen hadn’t come back yet and he figured she wouldn’t be back unless one of them called her. The dressing area was in the back and around the corner.

It would be so easy for him to slip in the dressing room with her.

Before his next thought, he was up and over to the dressing room in a couple of quick strides. He whipped the curtain open, causing Cassandra to jump.

His eyes darkened immediately at seeing Cassandra in only her underwear.

“RJ!” she whispered, trying to cover herself and close the curtain at the same time. “You’re not supposed to be in here.”

“Don’t worry,” he said with a wolfish grin. “No one else is here, remember?”

“What about Gwen?”

“I doubt she’ll be coming back here anytime soon.”

He stepped in and closed the curtain.

Cassandra took a step back and found she was up against the wall. His large body nearly took up the entire dressing room. She shook her head nervously, but she had a shy smile on her face. “RJ, I don’t think we should do this here.”

He smiled back at her and skimmed the back of his fingers down her throat to the top of her breasts, and continued down her stomach until he reached the top edge of her panties. “Come on Cassy, I thought you were the type who liked living a little dangerously.”

Never one to turn down a challenge, she slid her hand around his neck, stood on tiptoe and kissed with so him much heat they could have burned down the whole dress shop.

RJ lifted her up and wrapped her legs around his waist and began to kiss her neck. He rocked his hips against her center and she moaned at the movement. His hand slid up her back to her bra and he was just about to unhook it, when his phone rang.
